Advanced Facial Reflexology-

Fusion Facial Reflexology

Facial Reflexology aims to help your entire body function on its optimal level achieving also radiant, younger, and glowing complexion. It promotes the production of new tissue and improves skin tone.

Advanced facial reflexology focuses on reflex (pressure) points and zones on the face, which helps to stimulate the body’s healing mechanism and help improve circulation and nerve conduction, encouraging the release of toxins from the body via the lymphatic system.

Facial reflexology I practice is a fusion of the best. This means I bring together knowledge od different schools of facial reflexology I studied with and adapt the treatment to your needs to achieve the best result for you. The facial reflexology theories I used are Bergman Method, Dien Chan Zone, and Sorensensystem. I am currently in the process of studying Face Yoga and I am building my knowledge of Dien Chan and Five Elements.

I first studied facial reflexology with Ziggi Bergman, acclaimed reflexologist who in the past 20 years has developed The Bergman Method which is based on the Zone therapy. Zone therapy uses the whole body including the face. Facial reflexology is currently used to treat common conditions and relieve pain in many Native American tribes. Facial reflexology uses compression techniques to stimulate reflex points in which the thumb or fingers apply pressure and also walk over a zone in a caterpillar motion.

“Amazing facial reflexology with Michaela. My skin feels and looks glowing after it. Lovely relaxing experience and highly recommended.”

-Deborah W., Windsor

“I had my first experience of facial reflexology with Michaela this week. She was lovely and the treatment was so relaxing, I literally felt that I had melted into the couch and slept incredibly well later that night! I will definitely be booking more sessions.”

-Claire S., Windsor

Multireflexology Dien Chan practice was founded in Saigon, Vietnam, by Professor Bùi Quốc Châu back in 1980. He discovered a new set of mapping patterns on our faces to help connect to the different systems of the body from questioning the root of acupuncture meridians and points. Over several years, he developed a new therapeutic method for use on the face aimed to help improve health and balance holistically. Instead of continuing to use acupuncture needles to incite the Qi flow of healing needed to balance the energies in a person’s body, facial reflexology tools were born. There are so many techniques on the market now but reflexology tools have their own story and character.

Dien Chan Zone® was further developed by Italian reflexologist Beatrice Moricolli at the International Academy of Italian Facial Reflexology in Milan over the past 25 years. DCZ® uses simpler reflex zones (and certain points) to decipher personalized points of interest for each individual receiver. The maps are all simple and intuitive, easy to remember, and applied one at a time.

I first encountered Dien Chan Zone® when I searched for more information about facial reflexology. Helen Black (helen.black.com) is the only teacher offering Dien Chan Zone® internationally. The beauty of facial reflexology is that you can perform it on yourself as the face is easily accessible. I use and all operators are encouraged to use DCZ® On themselves. It is important you attend to your own wellbeing in order to share it with others. I studied with Helen in October and November 2018 when I became DCZ® operator.

Fusion Facial Reflexology may support you with:

  • musculoskeletal pain
  • female reproductive system dysfunctions such as irregular periods, endometriosis, infertility, PMS & menopausal symptoms.
  • headaches & migraines
  • digestive issues including constipation
  • urinary system dysfunctions
  • circulatory system dysfunctions
  • stress-related conditions

The face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read what is going on within the body’s internal organs, the central nervous system, and neuro-biological systems. The face’s close proximity to the brain and cranial nerves makes facial reflexology very powerful in reaching the body’s systems.

The treatment starts with cleansing and application of a hot towel, facial oil is then applied and facial reflexology sequence is completed. Every treatment includes lymphatic drainage of the face and neck and basic gua sha massage. You will be given point to work at home to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment.

“I went to try the treatment with the view that it won’t be effective. I was looking forward to taking care of my face and some well-deserved relaxation. But I was pleasantly surprised. Professional facial care, nice atmosphere, and visible result. I’m very pleased.”

-Alena M., Nemsova, SK

“Michaela’s Zone Face Lift is an absolutely fantastic treatment. I presented with tired eyes from night shifts & general busy life stress, within minutes I was fully relaxed (which usually doesn’t come easy to me). My skin after the treatment felt and looked lifted & bright especially around my eyes and as an added bonus that I wasn’t expecting, my neck & shoulders felt relaxed. Michaela tailor’s products and techniques used to suit the individual, focusing on their individual problem areas. Her knowledge of the subject is huge.I definitely recommend this treatment to all, could be a fabulous gift for someone too! Thanks, Michaela!”

Ancient Tools Facial & Facial Cupping

What are Gua Sha Sha & Facial Rollers?

Gua sha is an ancient tool that originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is used to move stagnant Qi. Gua sha means ‘scraping for red’. When body gua sha is used redness will appear to signify that the Qi / Blood has moved and healing commenced.

Crystal facial tools such as gua sha and facial rollers are becoming increasingly popular in modern natural skincare. Gua sha and facial rollers are made from crystals, most commonly jade or quartz. The use of crystals has its own healing and energetic properties. We use facial rollers and facial gua sha to massage the skin which may have the following benefits:

  • stimulating skin and increase blood circulation : skin appears healthier and blemishes decrease healthier colour returns
  • reducing signs of aging: facial massage boosts collagen production, cell repair, reducing the appearance of fine wrinkles
  • promotes lymphatic drainage: helps with depuffing, reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eyes, decongesting, boosting immunity
  • helps to relax muscles: experience instance relaxation, tension release around the neck, eyes, TMJ, helps with pain
  • stress relief: by using the rollers or gua sha you also working on acupressure and reflexology points located around the face

“I had a Gua Sha facial a couple of days ago and it was wonderful – Michaela made me feel so relaxed even though I had had such a stressful day and the facial was tailored to my skin beautifully (I have really sensitive skin so I’m always nervous about anything new going on my face – I rarely have facials for this reason but I will certainly be going back for this one again). The facial felt amazing – it’s art, and my facial muscles have looked noticeably more relaxed since the treatment. Thank you, Michaela!!”

What is a Ancient Tools Facial?

Ancient Tools Facial (ATF), is 60 minutes long treatment that brings about the best benefits of the enhancing and healing effect of the ancient tools used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

At the beginning we complete initial consultation to learn more about you and your goals for the treatment. I use high-quality natural facial oils, cleanser, and toner which are also suitable if you have a nut allergy.

The treatment starts with facial massage to warm up the muscles. Facial reflexology to balance and calm the body and mind. Facial rollers, facial gua sha, and facial cups, sculpt and massage tired muscles, erase tension and aid lymph drainage.

You can aim to relieve a current condition, improve your skin tone, reduce wrinkles. The focus of the treatment will be completely unique to you.

The reason I commonly treat clients with ATF:

  • sinus issues & congestion
  • tension headaches
  • eye strain
  • TMJ pain – temporomandibular joint pain
  • facial muscles pain
  • facial puffiness/congestion – issues with lymph drainage
  • dark circles and puffiness under the eyes
  • improvement of skin tone and skin appearance
  • improvement of the appearance of wrinkles

What is Facial Cupping?

Facial cupping is a part of the facial treatments. Similar to facial gua sha, it is much gentler than body cupping and it is performed by small silicone cups and mini cups that are intended for delicate areas around the eyes and mouth. Generally, silicone facial cups will not bruise the skin, although caution must be taken and I always check the reaction before full facial cupping. It is not recommended on broken skin, when taking blood thinners or if you generally bruise easily.

When you squeeze a facial cup onto an area of your face, a gentle suction is created. This draws blood flow towards the surface of your skin. This increased blood flow in the skin underneath the cup and surrounding tissues encourages the formation of new blood vessels. The suction also creates a controlled mini-trauma in the skin (in the same way as micro-needling and derma-rollers would), which prompts a natural healing process in the skin. More oxygenated blood flows to the area, collagen and fibroblast production is stimulated, and the skin cells are encouraged to reproduce.

The result of facial cupping may include:

  • plumper skin,
  • healthy-looking and glowing complexion
  • minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • boosts collagen production
  • reduces puffiness
  • reduces pore sizes

What can you address with facial cupping?

  • dull skin
  • facial puffiness
  • fine lines and wrinkles
  • headaches
  • muscle tension
  • Bell’s palsy
  • Scarring
  • Cystic Acne
  • Sinus Issues
